Doug Bacon, Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Doug provides leadership and inspiration to the entire TGI Direct family. Under his direction, TGI has grown and prospered, evolving from a small mailing and fulfillment company to a comprehensive marketing communications organization, offering an array of products and services to clients across numerous industry sectors. The robust technical infrastructure is particularly noteworthy, focusing on custom programming, web development, database management, variable data printing, and one-to-one communications. Companion tools and techniques are digital printing, offset printing, lettershop, mailing, warehousing, fulfillment, print-on-demand, manufacture-on-demand and creative services. Doug’s introduction to the world of communications and distribution came in 1979, as Vice President of Grimbac in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was quickly hooked on direct marketing and fulfillment, and ended up buying the firm in 1988. That entrepreneurial spirit prevailed, leading to the acquisition of a second printing company in 1990, and one of Michigan’s largest digital print organizations in 2001. Most recently, TGI purchased a firm focused on financial statement printing and distribution.

Doug earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado. He was formerly a professional mountaineer, working for the National Outdoor Leadership School, the largest college accredited non-profit, private outdoor school in the country. He also served a brief stint as a National Park Ranger.

 

Susan McLaughlin, Chief Financial Officer

Sue has been TGI’s Chief Financial Officer for 18 years. She is responsible financial management, budgets and treasury functions. Prior to joining TGI, Sue was a public accountant for six years. She graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and continues to educate herself in this field. Sue is a member of Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Public Accountants and Chartered Global Management Accountant.

 

Deb McKerracher, Vice President, Information Services

Deb has been in the marketing support industry for more than 23 years. She is responsible for managing the IT infrastructure, as well as operational departments for data management, programming and graphic communications. Deb is the management representative for the TGI quality system, ensuring compliance with the ISO standards required to maintain certification. She holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Information Systems from Baker College. Deb has attained many certifications and continues her education in the fields of network architecture, information security, EDI, document management and asset control. She is a nature lover, and is currently a Michigan State University Extension Master Gardener trainee, with hopes of becoming an Advanced Master Gardener in 2017.

 

 

Craig Jones, Vice President, Production Control

Craig joined the TGI team in 2004, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the direct marketing, distribution and communications sectors. He began his career at GM Photographic, managing recall campaigns and launching the Saturn dealership marketing distribution fulfillment program. For TGI, he oversees the project management staff, billing, estimating and production control.

 

David Johnson, Executive Vice President Sales

David oversees all aspects of Sales and Marketing at TGI Direct. He has an extensive background in fulfillment, marketing and printing services. He graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelors in Business Management and Marketing. David is passionate about his community and has served as Chairman of Board of Directors for Whaley Children's Center from January 1993 to November 2003 (10 years 11 months) and also on the Board of Directors for Disaster Relief at Work-DRAW from January 2013 – Present.
