Based on what the postal service has issued on their web site, all postal operations in and around the Houston area will stop as of 7pm this evening (Friday, September 12, 2008) and try to resume Sunday, September 21, 2008. Customers mailing to this location will want to contact their TGI customer service representative to discuss what they may want to do with mail going to the affected Zip Codes. I am sure that we will have a list of all areas affected. This does appear to be quite a devastating storm that could disrupt mail for some time in this area. I have also read that the USPS is making arrangements for delivery to remote sites located out of the path of this storm but know that it will affect delivery times and processes. I will keep everyone posted when new info arrives.
